Residential Roofing with Peak Roofing

Curious what a new roof costs? You can find out right now. Price your new roof online in about 60 seconds. No sales visit required.

Treasure Valley roofs don’t fail the way roofs fail in wetter climates. We’re high desert here. Summer sun and wide temperature swings do most of the aging, and winter finishes the job. The valley runs well over a hundred freezing nights a year, and that freeze and thaw cycle works at flashing, pipe boots, and any seam that’s already loose.

Wind is the other half of it. Idaho’s code sets a 90 mph design wind speed for the valley. That’s the same as the 115 mph ultimate speed you’ll see quoted elsewhere. Snow load matters too, and it isn’t uniform. Ada County builds to a 20 psf ground snow load with a 25 psf minimum on the roof, while lower Canyon County towns sit closer to 15 to 18.

How it works

From first call to finished job

  1. Step 1

    Tell us what's going on

Call or send a request with your address and what you're seeing: a leak, missing shingles, hail damage or just an old roof. Photos help if you have them.

  2. Step 2

    Roof inspection

The shingles, flashing, vents, pipe boots and gutters are checked, along with the attic or ceiling where water shows up, to find the cause and not just the stain.

  3. Step 3

    A clear quote

You get a quote that spells out the scope of work and the materials, with options when there's more than one sensible way to fix the roof.

  4. Step 4

    The work and the cleanup

The job is scheduled around the weather and your calendar. When it's done, the site is cleaned up, nails and debris included, and the finished work is walked through with you.

What clients say

5.0

“The whole Peak Roofing crew was so professional and efficient! We had an accurate estimate within a day, and thanks to good weather, the tear-off and full re-shingle also only took one day! We even had to replace several pieces of sheathing from an old moisture issue in the attic, and that was done quickly and perfectly. The guys came prepared and were careful with the demo. We were also very pleased with the cleanup after it was done. Love that big magnet picking up stray nails! A few neighbors also commented how quick they were and the result looks perfect! (…)”

Bonny Smith

“Highly recommend Peak Roofing! Great communication from start to finish, showed up when they said they would, and the crew was efficient and respectful. Solid workmanship and a smooth process.”

Andrew Barta

“Mike was great! We needed work done asap and he immediately came out to check out what was wrong. They were fast to fix things up and make our roof great and durable again! It was like new! Thank you!!”

FAQ

Residential Roofing: common questions

Does homeowners insurance cover roof replacement in Idaho?

Often, when the damage comes from a covered event like wind or hail rather than age or wear. Every policy is different, so we won’t promise an outcome. What we can do is inspect the roof, document the damage, and help you through the claim.

Do you offer a warranty on your roofing work?

Yes, two of them. Our Peak Performance Warranty covers workmanship for 10 years, including flashing, shingle placement, and roof penetrations, and it transfers once if you sell. Your shingles carry the Owens Corning Limited Lifetime Warranty, with 10 years of full materials and labor coverage.

How soon can you inspect my roof after a storm?

We schedule storm inspections quickly across Nampa and the wider Valley. If water is already coming into your home, call us right away and we’ll help you understand the next step. Talk with Peak Roofing.

Can I really price my roof online without a visit?

Enter your address, we measure your roof by satellite, and you see real pricing for that roof. We confirm the final scope at the inspection, because decking and ventilation aren’t visible from above. No one calls you unless you want us to.

Do I need a repair or a replacement?

That depends on how much of the roof is affected and how old it is. A few missing shingles on a ten-year-old roof is a repair. Widespread granule loss on a twenty-five-year-old roof usually isn’t. We’ll show you photos and tell you honestly which one you’re looking at.

Do you do commercial roofing?

No. We do residential work and new construction on homes. If you have a commercial building, we’d rather tell you that up front than take a job outside what we do every day.
